About Phonecard Collectors EXPO 2000.

We have been getting a lot of sign-up from collectors and dealers, including Richard Marelli from Mexico, editor of Chip magazine and VP of one of the local associations. Also, Africaphonecars will be exhibiting as well, coming all the way from South Africa to meet North American collectors and dealers. Visit them at www.africaphonecards.co.za

Also, Lori Porecca will put out a special edition of Collectors Advantage for the fair and Richard Marelli will debut the Guatemalan catalogue for the fair. There will be several uncut sheets and a bunch of valuable showcards and other phonecards auctioned off

at the fair. Specifics will be posted on the fair's website.

9278 a relatively new US telecom, will be debuting a set of WWF and MTV star phonecards, such as Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys, Pamela Anderson and many more

at Phonecard Collectors EXPO 2000. 9278 is based in New York and has signed a contract

with MTV to bring out a couple of hundred different phonecards featuring famous stars.

The cards have and excellent 2c/m rate with mintages between 10-50,000. These cards will be the collectible phonecards of the future and you must be at the fair to get the first cards!

There will also be a dinner/barbacue on Saturday at the Comfort Inn, where everyone will have plenty of time to get to know each other!

Niagara Falls

Just some promo news that I found while visiting Niagara Falls U.S.A. I thought that you might be interested for your next POL issue. At Target (maybe available at other stores) if you buy the 12 bars of Disl soap in the package is a 12 minute phone card. Also at Target, if you buy the large pack of AA Rayovac batteries in the pack is a collector Phone card of racing car driver Jason Jerrett. I was able to get 3 different collector cards. There might be 4 but I don't know.
