Administrative Notes

This is the final issue that will be written from Ithaca, NY. As you read this, I am packing and preparing for my drive across the United States. Depending on how things go once I arrive in Los Angeles, there will be no newsletter next week (July 20) and there may not be one for July 27 either. Hopefully I will have some phonecard stories to tell about my journey, but since this will not be a leisure trip, probably not. Fast food and gas station promotions will be about all I can see.

Funny Story

Earlier this week, I sold some phonecards to a co-worker of mine. Her son was traveling South, and needed cards for the road and for when he settled, as he would be without a phone. It was weird, it felt like a drug deal was going down! They met me at my house at 11:15 PM, and were waiting for us to come home. They got out of the car, shouted we have the cash (I don't know why she said this, since even if she didn't have the cash, I would have seen her the next day at work) - We then moved into the house, and the exchange of cash for goods began (I counted out the cards) Again, it was funny, but if felt like we were doing something illegal.

More Coke National News

It was announced on CompuServe that prizes for the National Coke product could now be redeemed through mid September. This is an extension of the announced deadline, which was in mid July. This will give folks a chance to redeem prizes at the B&B Collectibles Show this August.

Teeth Whitener Card

Free inside specially marked packages of Plus+White One Step Teeth Whitener is a 3 minute Frontier phonecard. The top third of the card (horizontal layout) has "Free 3 minute pre-paid phone card" written in yellow with a silver background. The middle third has "Plus+White" in white against a blue background. The bottom third has "One-Step Teeth Whitener" in white against a red background. No PIN cover. Card expires 1/31/97.

That's it for this week - Short and somewhat sweet. Until next time, have a great couple of weeks.
