Personal Note
It's now official, I will be moving to Los Angeles, California this summer.
The target leave date is July 15. There will definately be a disruption in
publishing over the month of July (but this is a free newsletter, so no
complaints!!) and possibly the weeks before or after the move. I will try to
publish on a weekly basis, there may be a reduction in content though.
Albany Phonecard Show
I've finally developed the pictures from the Albany show - And they turned
out pretty well, too! If you are interested in seeing some of the dealers at the
show, you can check it out by visiting The Card Mall at
Intele-Card News
After publishing my list of phonecard magazines that I recommended last
week, I received a phone call from Intele-Card News. In all honesty, this was
a magazine that I was not familiar with. The reason for the call was not to
complain about not being listed, but for an interview of me and my on-line
business, The Card Mall. Look for that in the July issue. Concerning the
magazine, the editor sent me a copy overnight to review, and I was really
impressed. This is different than the other magazines, as it is a mix of
industry news and collecting information. If you are interested to learn more
about the prepaid industry, this is definitely a magazine that you want to
subscribe to. I just filled out my subscription card, and its on the way! A one
year subscription in the US costs $29, $75 for Canada and $95 elsewhere.

The Miami Show
It turns out that the people at Intele-Card News will be sponsoring the
American Tele-Card Expo in Miami this June 5-7. While I originally planned to
attend this show, dealing with my upcoming move will prevent me from
making the trip. If you are interested in attending the show (Remember that
this is a trade show, not a collector show) you can call the people at Intele-
Card New for more information. I hope to have more information in an
upcoming issue of POL.
The Card Mall Card in Moneycard Collector
If you receive Moneycard Collector, check out page 65 in the June
issue - The Card Mall phonecard is listed! It's really exciting to produce a
card and to see it listed in a National publication. This is an issue I will be
saving.
POL Card Mall Card Contest
In honor of the Card Mall card being listed in Moneycard Collector, another
card will be given away to a reader of Phonecards On-Line. Simply send an
e-mail message to
pol@cardmall.com
with the words WIN PHONECARD in the body of the message. A random
entry will be chosen by Monday, May 13, and announced in the next issue.
Moneycard Collector on the Web
Tori Stone of Moneycard Collector informed me that they now have a new
site on the web. Here is what she writes:
"Moneycard Collector, the first prepaid collectibles magazine on the web,
has started a new web site! The new site is located in the Landmark
Communications "Collectors SuperMall." The address is
http://www.csmonline.com/moneycard/
If you collect ANYTHING, chances are you'll find it in the Collector's
SuperMall. Antiques, music, cartoon cels, postcards, cars ... and now,
phone cards!
Friends who are familiar with the first site,
http://hmt.com/moneycard/index.html
will still be able to find that site with Hypermedia Technologies, a
popular phonecard hub."
I've checked out the site, and like it! Nice job, Moneycard Collector. You'll
find other Amos Press publications such as Coin World there, as well as a
popular sportscard collector magazine, Tuff Stuff. The site is new and under
construction, but has a lot of potential to be a useful collector site

what presidential assassination is Lazarus associated with - The answer was
Lincoln (#3) - I guessed Kennedy first, was wrong, and dialed back without
a problem.
This week's question and answer:
The current week question is "What Lazarus memento holds a picture of the
dark-haired woman?". The answer is #1 (locket).
There is a limit of one entry per household per week, and you can not dial
back with your phone once you are entered.
From: Elizabeth Cohen, Thanks to Anthony Janakas for providing this
